This OSHA outreach workshop will provide training to workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. It will also provide information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.
For the year 2013 OSHA completed a total of 39,228 federal inspections. Worker injuries, illnesses and fatalities are on the rise: 4,383 workers were killed on the job in 2012 on average, more than 84 a week or nearly 12 deaths every day.
